Lariat Training

At Lariat Jiu Jitsu, training is structured to help students learn jiu jitsu in a way that is practical, safe, and repeatable.

Rather than relying on memorized techniques or unstructured sparring, classes are built around clear positions and problems. Students are given specific goals and constraints that guide decision-making, allowing skills to develop naturally through focused repetition and resistance.

Each week progresses through three connected themes:

  • Foundations: learning core positions, movement, and safety

  • Application: applying fundamentals under increasing resistance

  • Finishing: developing control and submissions within realistic scenarios

The goal is not to rush progress, but to build jiu jitsu that holds up under pressure.
